Canada cities, attractions and photos

Canada

Canada is situated in the northern part of the American continent and covers a vast area. It has a topography that varies a lot. The country became independent in 1867 but kept its ties with the British Crown. It has a lot of national (41) and provincial parks and is rated by the United Nations as one of the best places to live. The nation is developed in parallel with the United States, its neighbor to the south, across a peaceful border.

Some of the major Canadian cities are Montreal, Toronto, Vancouver, Edmonton, Calgary, and Winnipeg. The majority of them do not stand for capitals of provinces. Greater Toronto and the surrounding areas account for three quarters of Ontario’s population. Part of greater Detroit is also Windsor.

One of the cities considered to be the most beautiful is Ottawa, the Canadian capital. Many will be excited by the amazing opportunities that are offered to the tourists. The great selection of activities that suits all ages includes the RCMP march or The Changing of the Guard on Parliament Hill. These sights are considered quite popular. Some top rate museums, such as the Canadian Museum of Civilization and the Canadian Aviation Museum, add up to the picture. Summer outdoor activities are also fun due to paths for bikes at the many parks. The Rideau Canal, while frozen during the winter, becomes the longest ever skating rink, which contributes to the winter fun in Ottawa.

The country is famous for the Canadian goose, the Maple Syrup, and the beaver. Moreover, this is a multicultural country with free health care which contains the most freshwater in the world. This list seems endless.

Canada has temperatures that range in a wide spectrum- from minus 50 to plus 40 degrees centigrade. It is best to visit the country during the fall months of September and October. Autumn is an excellent choice for photographers. Most tourists come during the summer. There are so many places to visit during your holiday in Canada. So, you may feel overwhelmed when making a decision. It is, for example, famous with its ski resorts and regular snow fall. Most of the resorts can provide you with everything you need. British Columbia is the most famous among the skiing resorts. It is like a heaven for the snowboard and the ski enthusiasts.

You can visit the Atlantic Provinces (New Brunswick, Nova Scotia, Newfoundland and Labrador, and Prince Edward Island) on the east coast and enjoy the Canadian maritime culture. You can travel to the largest Canadian province Quebec, which is predominantly French speaking and visit Montreal and Quebec’s capital Quebec City. You can go to Ontario and visit its famous capital Toronto, Niagara Falls or the Canadian capital Ottawa. You can visit Calgary, Edmonton and the Banff National Park (Canadian Rockies) in Alberta.
