John Knox House – John Knox was the leader of the Scottish Protestant Reformation. He is also regarded as the founder of the Presbyterianism.

John Knox’s house dates back from 1490 and is one of the oldest houses in Edinburgh. John Knox lived there in the 1560s. John Knox House has an impressive wooden gallery and hand-painted ceiling and underwent extensive refurbishment recently. The house is located on the Royal Mile very close to the Palace of Holyroodhouse and is now a museum.
