Santa Maria delle Grazie is a beautiful Renaissance church and convent built in the 15th century. The church is a UNESCO World Heritage site. The convent was completed in 1469 and the church was completed in 1490.

The cloisters were designed by Bramante and contain the masterpiece The Last Supper by Leonardo da Vinci. Leonardo da Vinci lived in Milan for 17 years and during that period he painted the The Last Supper. The fresco is very difficult for restoration and is kept under climate controlled environment. A booking of 60 days in advance is sometimes required to view the fresco.
