Paris is not only very beautiful but one of the most romantic cities in the world. Every building in Paris is a work of art and the wide boulevards, parks and the buildings are carefully planned. Paris has some of the best Art Museums in the world and all are worth visiting. The Louvre, Musée d’Orsay and Centre Pompidou are one of most visited museums in Paris and a must see for every art lover. The Paris History Museum traces the history of the city from the Gallo-Roman times to the 20th century. The Picasso Museum displays a large collection of paintings, sculptures, ceramics, and engravings. The exhibition includes works of art by Picasso, Cezanne, Matisse, and Degas.

The Eiffel Tower, the most famous Parisian symbol, commemorates the French Revolution and is visited by about 6 million tourists each year. The Arc de Triumph commemorates the triumph of Napoleon in 1805 and reliefs dedicated to the French army adorn the Arch. One of the most visited landmarks of Paris is the Notre Dame Cathedral. Located on Île de la Cité the cathedral is a perfect example of Gothic architecture. Paris is also known as the fashion capital of the world and indeed it is. Shopping in Paris is another experience not to be missed.

Paris is divided into several numbered districts called arrondissements. The subway (metro) system is well organized and has access to almost every tourist attraction on the way. If sightseeing has been in ample supply, stroll along the famous Champs-Elysees, book a boat trip along the Seine or just enjoy the piece and quiet in one of Paris's many parks. One must go to Paris. It is the center of the European culture and there is so much to see and do it is overwhelming. Sometimes I envy the people who live there. It is so beautiful. We can not comprehend that in America. The way of life is so different it is almost like they are in a different planet.
