Guggenheim Museum in New York is probably the best known of the five Guggenheim museums; the others are in Bilbao, Berlin, Venice and Las Vegas. The museum was founded in 1937 to promote modern art.
The current building was constructed between 1956-1959 and was designed by the famous Frank Lloyd Wright and has unique inside and outside architecture. The innovative and unusual design makes the building exceptional and it contrasts with the straight lines of the skyscrapers around. Guggenheim Museum is constructed from a reinforced concrete in shape of a hollow funnel.
